Field Notes: Attachments

You can now add attachments to your Field Notes!

There are three ways to add attachments to Field Notes:

  1. Drag & drop multiple files

  2. Copy & pasting files into a comment

  3. Add a file directly in the Field Note gallery carousel

Field Notes on Web support multiple files, the ability to copy/paste into comments, and a carousel view (gallery) at the top that catalogs all attachments added.

To add an attachment, navigate to the Field Note on OpenSpace in your web browser.

On the bottom right of your Field Note there will be an option to add an attachment(s) either by clicking "Browse Files" or by "Drag and Drop." Currently, the only file types that are supported for security are:

  • Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .jfif, .heic, .webp

  • Documents: .pdf, .txt

  • Videos: .mp4, .mov

Files that have been attached to the Field Note will appear in both the Activity section, and gallery view up top.

Field Notes that have been attached will automatically be added and shown in the Activity section. You now have the ability to copy and paste files when making a comment as well.

Mobile

To add an attachment, navigate to the Field Note on OpenSpace mobile app.

Scroll to the bottom of your Field Note there will be an option to add an attachment(s) either via by taking a photo then or choosing from your library. Currently all file types are supported including PDF, Excel Reports, etc.

You can also add an attachment while taking a Field Note or Mobile Photo. Simply take the photo, then click "Attach files" to open your File Explorer.
