Overview

The Timelapse Video feature in OpenSpace Capture enables you to click a button to generate videos from your captures of a single location over a period of time. 

Creating a timelapse video

To create a video, follow these steps: 

1. In your desired project, click the Captures icon.

2. Select a 360 video capture. 
3. In the center top of the view, click the timelapse icon.

4. In the Create a timelapse video prompt, click Create on your preferred video perspective:
   • Fixed: A fixed view from a single area 
   • Rotation: A rotational video that spins 360° around a fixed point

5. Enter a title for your timelapse video.
6. If you’d like the date and timestamp of each image to display in the video, turn Show date/timestamp on.
7. If you’d like your video to be viewable to anyone with the shared link, turn Make video public on.
8. Click Create.

9. Next you’ll see a pop-up confirmation.

10. You'll receive an email from OpenSpace with your video as soon as it’s ready!
    • Email Subject: Your OpenSpace Timelapse Video
11. In your email, select View Timelapse Video.
12. A separate window will open to:
    • View the timelapse video.
    • Copy the link to share with others (if in step 6 you toggled on Make video public).
    • Download the timelapse video.

How to view already generated timelapse videos

1. Select the Timelapses icon in the project side menu to access a list of all your timelapse videos.
   • If you can’t locate your video, try switching the sorting display:
     • Date created
     • Title
     • View count

2. Click on the video you’d like to view.

How to change the privacy of a timelapse video

1. Select the Timelapses icon in the left-side menu of your project.
2. Locate the timelapse video.
3. Select the 3 vertical dots in the lower right corner of the timelapse tile.
4. Select Make Private or Make Public.

5. Click confirm in the confirmation message.

How to share a timelapse video

1. Select the Timelapses icon in the left-side menu of your project.
2. Locate the timelapse video.
3. Select the 3 vertical dots in the lower right corner of the timelapse tile.
4. Select Copy URL.

5. You’ll see a Copied link to clipboard message.

How to delete a timelapse video

1. Select the Timelapses icon in the left-side menu of your project.
2. Locate the timelapse video you want to delete and click the three vertical dots in the lower right.
3. Select Delete.

FAQ

What is the difference between public and private timelapse videos? 

• Private timelapse videos can only be viewed by OpenSpace project members. 
• Public timelapse videos can be viewed by anyone with the public share link. 

How do I change the language on my timelapse video?

• Once you have the link, in the upper right corner, there is a language drop-down to choose from.
