Enable Autodesk Integration

Overview

Our Autodesk integration streamlines your workflow by enabling you to create and manage Autodesk Issues directly from the OpenSpace app. Once enabled, the integration maintains a bidirectional sync so that any edits made to an issue in either platform automatically sync to the other, ensuring seamless coordination between platforms. This integration also enables you to sync your BIM models into OpenSpace directly from your Autodesk Build project, streamlining the BIM integration setup.

Hub Admin: You must be a Hub Admin in Autodesk Build to install the OpenSpace integrations from the Autodesk App Marketplace

Prerequisites 

The setup wizard will guide you through all required steps to enable the Autodesk integration. To streamline the process, you can complete the following in advance:

• Sign in to OpenSpace using Autodesk SSO. This is required and will also be prompted during setup.
• Install the OpenSpace apps from the Autodesk App Marketplace. This is required and covered in the steps below. Autodesk Hub Admin permissions are required, so completing this in advance can help avoid interruptions.

How to install the OpenSpace apps in the Autodesk Marketplace

• Sign in to Autodesk.
• Navigate to the Account Admin page in Autodesk, then select Apps.

• Find and select the OpenSpace app.

• Select Install.

• Select Authorize and Install.

• Return to the Autodesk App Marketplace, search OpenSpace, and select OpenSpace Two-Way Sync.
  • Note: Before installing the OpenSpace Two-Way Sync app, you must first install and configure the OpenSpace app(instructions above)

• Select Install.

• Select Authorize and Install.

How to set up the Autodesk integration in OpenSpace

• Navigate to the Integrations tab on the project settings page of the job you want to integrate, then select Connect on the Autodesk card.

• Log in to your Autodesk account in OpenSpace and select Next.

• Install the OpenSpace App and Two-Way Sync App from the Autodesk App Marketplace (see prerequisites above), then select Next.
  • Tip: If you’ve already completed these steps, you can proceed by selecting Next.

• Select your company and project from Autodesk, then select Connect.
