Generate Plangrid Tasks from Field Notes in OpenSpace

Updated over 2 years ago

Once you have linked your OpenSpace and PlanGrid projects, you and your team can create Tasks in OpenSpace.

Visual documentation and precise floor plan location are automatically included as attachments which you can review.

Creating an Task

Navigate to your project and click on the Field Notes icon in the left menu:

Select the Field Note from list

Note: If you don't have any Field Notes, you can create one in the 360 viewer by clicking the Field Note icon at the top of your screen.

You must save the Field Note, then click Link to PlanGrid on the Field Note.

Then click on the PlanGrid icon at the top right

Create a new Task or link to existing Task

A prompt will then appear giving you the option of creating a new Task or linking to an existing Task, which will attach the Field Note photo and a PDF with the exact floor plan location.

When creating a new Task, the information you enter on the form in OpenSpace will populate that information in PlanGrid. Fields shown in orange are required.

Once you complete the form, you will see the field note is linked to a PlanGrid Task, and the status in OpenSpace shows the Task status in PlanGrid.
