Generate Procore Observations from Field Notes in OpenSpace

Updated over a year ago

Once you have linked your OpenSpace and Procore projects, you and your team can create Observations in OpenSpace.

Visual documentation and precise floor plan location are automatically included as attachments which you can review.

Creating an Observation

Navigate to your project and click on the Field Notes icon in the left menu:

Select the Field Note from list

Note: If you don't have any Field Notes, you can create one in the 360 viewer by clicking the Field Note icon at the top of your screen.

You must save the Field Note, then click Link to Procore on the Field Note.

Then click on the Procore icon at the top

Create a new Observation or link to existing Observation

A prompt will then appear giving you the option of creating a new Observation or linking to an existing Observation, which will attach the Field Note photo and a PDF with the exact floor plan location.

When creating a new Observation, the information you enter on the form in OpenSpace will populate that information in Procore. Fields shown in orange are required.

Once you complete the form, you will see the field note is linked to a Procore Observation, and the status in OpenSpace shows the Observation status in Procore:

OpenSpace Attachments in Procore

By using OpenSpace to generate Observations, rich visual context and the location on the floor plans are included automatically as attachments.
