On the bottom of your Field Notes is the comment section, which allows OpenSpace users to have time stamped conversations with each other directly on the Field Note.

Users can go back and forth to discuss items, assign tasks, and resolve issues.

Adding a comment automatically notifies all users on the Email Alert list.
