Overview
The Building View in OpenSpace Track is the main way to move through your project spatially, from the whole site down to an individual room. From the floor plan, you can also explore 360° site images, compare two weeks side by side, and step back through time with the Week Selector.
About the Building View
The Building View shows a side-section (schematic) view of your building. Each floor is displayed with colored boxes representing different areas or rooms, and the colors indicate progress status. You can:
- See exact completion percentages for each area.
- Filter by trade, task, or component.
- Click any floor to open the floor plan view with room-level detail.
Navigate your site
You can move through your site in multiple ways in OpenSpace Track, including a spatial menu in the Executive View and Building View. The menu is especially useful on complex projects with multiple buildings or phases.
- Log in through your unique project link (in your weekly emails, or via bookmark). This opens the Building Selector page.
- Select the phase of the building you want to view.
- Review the Building Overview page, which shows progress and Spotlights for your overall site, reflecting any selected filters.
- Select a floor to see progress in that area on the Floor View page.
- Select an apartment or area to see progress on the Apartment/Area View page.
- Select a room or location to open the 360° images of the space.
- To return to a prior location, use the navigation controls at the top of the screen, including the breadcrumb toolbar and the back button.
View 360° images
From the floor plan view, you will see:
- Blue dots where 360° images were captured. Click a blue dot to open the image and explore the space, similar to Google Maps Street View. A mini-map in the bottom right corner shows your position and lets you move to other capture points.
- Grey circles where images were expected but not captured that week.
You can also open 360° images by clicking an active Spotlight in the Spotlight pane, or by following the steps in “Navigate your site” to a room. Within an image, pan to look around the space, use the Week Selector to view previous weeks, and close the image with the button in the top right.
Compare two weeks with Image Compare
Image Compare shows two weeks of 360° images side by side for the same location—for visually confirming progress, such as comparing week 12 with week 20 to see drywall going up.
- Open a 360° image.
- Click the compare button in the bottom right corner.
- Use the dropdown selectors to change which weeks are compared.
View progress for a different week
Use the Week Selector in the lower left to view progress and Spotlight changes over time. Use the left and right arrows (← and →) to move one week back or forward, or use the drop-down to jump to a specific date. The Week Selector is visible on every page in the platform.
FAQ
Why is an area hatched or greyed out for a task?
OpenSpace Track maps activities to specific rooms and areas. If an activity is not expected in a room based on project documentation, it is not tracked there, and that area appears hatched or greyed out for that task.
Why does a floor show no progress data?
It likely means no 360° video was captured for that floor that week. It does not necessarily mean no work was done.
