Overview
OpenSpace Track shows progress using a consistent set of statuses on every page. The same filter pane lets you drill into any trade, task, or component, and the Actual x Planned view compares where trades are working against where your schedule says they should be.
OpenSpace Track status list
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not started | No work for the selected location, subcontractor, task, or component has begun. |
| In progress | Work has started and is in progress. |
| Nearly done | Work is close to 80% complete but is not yet finished. |
| Complete | All work is 100% complete. |
| No tracked tasks | There is no scope being tracked for the selected location, subcontractor, task, or component. |
| No ongoing activities | Activities in this area are either complete or have not yet started—there’s no work currently in progress for the selected filters. |
Spotlight markers appear for all open Spotlights with High, Medium, or Low priority labels. Spotlights resolved within the last week are also shown with blue markers.
Viewing progress by trade, task, or component
Use the Filter Pane on the left-hand side to view progress by Trade, Task, or Component. Filtering works the same for the Building View, Floor View, and Apartment/Area view.
- Select a Trade. Progress and Spotlights update to show the selected trade.
- Once a trade is selected, the task list shows all tracked Tasks assigned to that trade.
- Once a task is selected, the component list shows all tracked Components within that task.
Progress and Spotlights reflect whichever filters are selected.
Compare actual & planned work
The Actual x Planned view is organized by floor and uses color coding:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Active and on schedule. |
| Purple | Ahead of schedule. |
| Red | Active but behind schedule, or inactive when they should be active. |
| Grey | No active trades or no scheduled activity. |
- Toggle between Actual/Planned and Planned only.
- Click a floor to drill down to zone and room level.
- Click a specific area to open a drawer listing all tasks behind schedule, with their actual and planned percentages.
- Click Explore Photo to jump into the 360° image.
Tip: This view works well for daily huddles. Pull it up on a screen and walk through which trades are where, who is behind, and what needs attention.
FAQ
Why do the Actual vs. Planned comparisons look unreliable?
The accuracy of this view depends heavily on the detail in your project schedule. Dates per zone or per activity sequence give more meaningful comparisons than a single date for an entire floor.
