Overview
You can now add attachments to your Field Notes!
Add Attachments On Web
There are three ways to add attachments to Field Notes:
- Drag & drop multiple files
- Adding a file via the “Attach File” option
- Add a file directly in the Field Note gallery carousel via “Add Media”
To add an attachment, navigate to the Field Note on OpenSpace in your web browser. On the bottom left of your Field Note there will be an option to add an attachment(s) either by clicking "Attach File" or by "Drag and Drop." Currently, the only file types that are supported for security are:
- Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .jfif, .heic, .webp
- Documents: .pdf, .txt
- Videos: .mp4, .mov
Add Field Notes within the Attachments section
- Files that have been attached to the Field Note will appear in both the Activity section, and gallery view up top.
Field Notes Gallery View
- Field Notes that have been attached will automatically be added and shown in the Activity section. You now have the ability to copy and paste files when making a comment as well.
How To Add Attachments On Mobile
- To add an attachment, navigate to the Field Note on OpenSpace mobile app.
- Scroll to the bottom of your Field Note there will be an option to add an attachment(s) either via taking a photo then or choosing from your library. Currently all file types are supported including PDF, Excel Reports, etc.
- You can also add an attachment while taking a Field Note or Mobile Photo. Simply take the photo, then click "Attach files" to open your File Explorer.
