Overview
OpenSpace automatically pins Field Notes you make during a 360° video capture to your sheets. You can also create a Field Note anytime in the field. Learn more about creating and managing Field Notes in this Support article. Additionally, if you’re using one of our supported integrations, you can simplify your workflows for Observations, RFIs, and Issues even more. In this article we’ll lay out the steps for downloading and generating PDF reports of your Field Notes for distributing to any stakeholders such as architects and subcontractors.
You can export a PDF of a single Field Note or a report of multiple Field Notes based on your filters and selections.
Single Field Note download
- Note: By default all single Field Note downloads include attachments and comments.
- Access your project, and click Field Notes.
- Click on the desired Field Note.
- Select the 3 horizontal dots.
- Click Download PDF.
- Save the PDF file.
Field Notes PDF reports
- Access your project, and click Field Notes.
- Apply any filters such as Tags, Status, and Zones, to define what Field Notes you want in your report.
- Check the box next to each Field Note you want in the report. You can select up to 300 Field Notes per report.
- Click Export and select Field Note PDF report.

Give your report a name in the Field Note report name box.
- By default, Include comments and attachments is selected. You can de-select if you prefer to not include these details.
- Click Create.
A confirmation box will appear at the bottom left of your screen.
- Your report will be emailed to you for downloading—timing will vary depending on how much data is being exported.
