Overview
You can use the OpenSpace mobile app on your smartphone to take and manage the photos you need for documenting your jobsite. It’s fast and easy to launch the camera, take multiple photos in a single session, and have all images instantly saved to the Media Library. From there, you can easily create Field Notes from your photos, search your project’s visuals using AI, and streamline your documentation process.

Prerequisites
Ensure your OpenSpace mobile app is updated to the latest version (v 45.0.0 or newer).
Photos in the mobile app
To take photos in the OpenSpace mobile app:
- Open the mobile app and select your project.
- Tap the blue camera icon.
- Take one or more photos of the jobsite. Each photo is automatically saved to the Media Library.
- Note: If you want to import photos from your device’s photo library into OpenSpace, select the import icon in the bottom right side of your screen.
- You can review or delete the photos you’ve taken by selecting the thumbnail icon in the bottom left side of your screen.
- If you want to create a Field Note from your photos, tap Create new Field Note. Learn more about creating Field Notes.
