Overview
You can import sheets to OpenSpace directly from your Autodesk project's sheets instead of uploading files. Imported sheets stay linked to Autodesk: when a sheet is revised in Autodesk, OpenSpace automatically brings in the latest aligned revision, so your team always captures against current sheets.

Prerequisites
- The Autodesk integration must be set up on the project. On the project's Integrations page, the Autodesk card should show Synced.
- Note: Importing from Autodesk is not available on projects that use OpenSpace Track.
Import sheets from Autodesk
- From your project settings, select Sheets in the left sidebar, then select Import from Autodesk.
- In the Import from Autodesk window, select the sheets you want to import. Use the Search number or title field to find a sheet. Then select the import button, which shows how many sheets you selected (for example, Import 1 sheet).
- Tip: For the best capture experience, import one overall floor plan for each level you plan to capture rather than area-based sheets. Architectural sheets work best. Add a roof plan to capture the roof and a site or civil plan to capture exterior conditions.
- The import runs in the background. You can keep working in other parts of OpenSpace or leave OpenSpace entirely while it finishes.
- When the import is done, each imported sheet appears in your sheet list with a Synced label.
- When a drawing is revised in Autodesk, OpenSpace automatically picks up the new revision and checks that it aligns with the sheet already in OpenSpace. This check isn't immediate: it typically happens within a day, and the sheet updates once the revision passes. While the revision imports, a banner lets you know that the sheet is importing from Autodesk and the sheet shows Syncing…
- Note: OpenSpace only updates a sheet with a revision that aligns with the current sheet. A revision falls out of alignment when it shifts the floor plan's position on the sheet, mirrors the layout, or changes the scale. Your captures and Field Notes are pinned to locations on the current sheet, so a misaligned revision would put them in the wrong place. If a revision is rejected, the sheet shows Sync issue with a message asking you to upload an aligned revision. Upload an aligned revision in Autodesk to have it processed.
Your sheets are now synced with Autodesk and will stay on the latest aligned revision.

FAQ
What happens when a sheet is revised in Autodesk?
OpenSpace automatically picks up the new revision and checks that it aligns with the current sheet, typically within a day. Once it passes, the synced sheet updates. You don't need to re-import it.
Why didn't my revision update the sheet in OpenSpace?
If the revision came in less than a day ago, the alignment check may still be in progress. If the sheet shows Sync issue, the revision was rejected because it doesn't align with the current sheet. See Troubleshooting import errors above.
Do I need to stay on the Sheets page while the import runs?
No. The import runs in the background, so you can navigate away or close OpenSpace. When you come back, finished sheets show as Synced.
Why don't I see the Import from Autodesk option?
Check that the Autodesk integration is set up on the project. Importing from Autodesk is also not available on projects that use OpenSpace Track.
