Taking a capture: 360 Video

Open the OpenSpace Mobile app, navigate to your project, and select Start new 360° capture.
Select 360° Video.
Turn on your 360° camera and select your camera brand.
Follow the camera connection flow that the OpenSpace app will walk you through
Name the capture and press Continue.
- Note: that it’s not required to name your capture. If you want to skip naming, select Skip in the top right corner.
Select the sheet where you’ll be taking your 360° video capture.
Tap on the sheet to indicate your starting location and then tap Start capturing at the bottom of the screen.
- Tip: zoom in on the sheet to pick the most precise starting location. It is best to start near an easily-identifiable location, such as a column, corner or door frame.
Review the capturing best practices then select Got it!
When you’re finished capturing that floor, you have two choices: end the session or start a new capture for another floor:
- Capture another floor: Tap Next sheet and then Yes, start new.
Stop your capture session: Press the red End Session button and confirm by selecting Yes, I'm done. Your capture is complete, congratulations!

Your first capture could take up to a couple of hours to process. As you capture more and more, the Vision Engine learns your site, reducing the processing time of future captures.

We currently do not support switching floors within the same capture. But it’s simple to capture multiple floors within the same session by clicking Next sheet as outlined above.
You must upload your captures before you can see them in OpenSpace.
When your capture is ready for viewing, you’ll receive an email notification. Be sure you’ve turned on your OpenSpace notifications.
