Overview
OpenSpace Track supports several levels of access so you can control exactly what each person on your team can see and do on the platform.
Permissions
Access can be assigned per user in the following ways:
| Access type | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Full access | See all data — tasks, progress, Spotlights, reports, and images — for every subcontractor on the project. Typical for project managers, construction managers, and superintendents. |
| Limited/trade access | Customizable: restrict a user to every data type of a single subcontractor, to a given data type across all subcontractors (e.g., Spotlights only for one subcontractor), or to any combination of these. |
| Images only | 360° images without access to tasks, progress, pace, or Spotlights. |
| Spotlight editing | All users with platform access can resolve Spotlights, mark them incorrect, add comments, and manage the Action List. This can be restricted separately if needed. No user can edit the underlying progress data directly — that is managed by the QA team. |
Tip: Consider giving access to project managers, construction managers, superintendents, project engineers, and schedulers. You can also give limited access to subcontractors so they can see their own trade data and respond to Spotlights directly. Teams often give image-only access to clients or external stakeholders who need visibility without full platform access.
